SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in ICE to change from normal operating conditions 20 to overrunning 10. Proposed device comprises actuator with braking piston integrated in exhaust valve mechanism, gap adjustment mechanism and adjustment fluid feed controller. Actuator has idle and working positions. In idle, braking piston is pulled in to make a gap between exhaust valve and cam to get disengaged from normal operating conditions. In operating conditions, braking piston extends to open exhaust vale for overrunning. Aforesaid gap adjustment mechanism adjusts aforesaid gap. Adjusting fluid feed controller serves to displace aforesaid actuator between idle and operating conditions. Invention covers method of changing from normal operating conditions to overrunning.
