SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the internal combustion engines. Valve bridge comprises body (11) of the valve bridge, main piston (12) and drive rod (14). Valve bridge body includes main piston chamber and drive rod installation chamber. Main piston is arranged in main piston chamber. Drive rod is arranged in chamber for installation of drive rod. Elastic element (15) is located between drive rod and chamber for driving rod installation. Lower end of the driving rod extends from the chamber for installation of the driving rod under action of elastic force of the elastic element. Body of the valve bridge is equipped with the first oil drain channel (16) communicated with the main piston chamber. Inner part of drive rod is equipped with second oil drain channel (17). One end of the second oil drain channel is communicated with the chamber for return oil of the engine. When the engine cam shaft is in the lifting position for the main exhaust and drives the valve bridge in downward motion, the drive rod comes into contact with the cylinder head and pushes the drive rod for upward movement. Before maximum valve lift, the first oil drain channel comes into contact with the second oil drain channel in order to lower the oil pressure in the main piston. Disclosed is engine with valve bridge.
EFFECT: improving engine reliability at providing required engine braking power.
