FIELD: textile.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to textile industry, in particular to final finishing of cotton textile materials, and also can be used in garment industry. Method of imparting low-shrinkage properties to cotton materials involves treatment of the material with an impregnating aqueous solution, followed by drying and thermal treatment. According to the invention, the material is preliminary treated with an impregnating aqueous solution in the following ratio of components, g/l: urea-formaldehyde oligomer 95–105, acrylic acid 30–15. After drying material is treated with second aqueous solution of potassium persulphate with concentration of 3 to 8 g/l, after which material is subjected to heat treatment at temperature from 120 to 130 °C for 3–5 minutes.
EFFECT: technical result is improved physical and mechanical characteristics of textile cotton materials and garment based on fabric after treatment.
