FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: device for determining the coefficient of friction of textile materials relative to a sample of the material being tested is disclosed, including a structure for creating pressure on the sample of the material being tested and a measuring device. In this case, the sample of the material under study is made in the form of two half-cylinders combined with each other, the lower of which with a smaller radius is mounted on a fixed support with a concave cylindrical surface, and on the convex surface of the upper half-cylinder with a large radius, to create a friction pair. A textile thread is thrown over with the possibility of contact with it, at one end of which a constant load is attached, forming a driven branch of the textile thread, and the other end of the textile thread, forming the leading branch, is connected to a dynamometer mounted on a movable platform connected to a reversible drive through a screw connection.

EFFECT: invention simplifies the design and conduct of the experiment.
