SUBSTANCE: invention relates to elements of pneumatic systems of braking equipment of railway rolling stock. Main part of air distributor includes softness device containing resilient diaphragm fixed in housing, which forms diaphragm and valve cavities in housing. Spring-loaded valve is arranged in valve cavity pneumatically connected with spool and main chambers. Elastic diaphragm is made with possibility of action on the valve providing, under effect of elastic diaphragm, overlapping of main chamber and spool chamber. Note here that thrust element is fixed on valve rod to restrict its open position excluding valve action on resilient diaphragm and at the same time sufficient for connection of main and spool chambers.

EFFECT: increased operational life of the main part of the air distributor.
