FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed air distributor is designed to control change of compressed air pressure in railway vehicle brake cylinders. Air distributor contains two and three pressure members. Two-pressure member has housing accommodating movable spring-loaded partition, plunger, brake main line additional reduction valve, check valve and softness device. Three-pressure member has housing accommodating main movable and equalizing movable partitions, main distributing spool and feed valve. Two-and three-pressure members are provided with channels for pneumatic intercoupling of working chambers and spool chambers, respectively. Freight braking duty springs are installed in atmospheric space of three-pressure member. Spring is installed in spool chamber of three-pressure member between main movable partition and housing. Stiffness of said spring is chosen depending on application of railway unit in compliance with travel of main distributing spool at preset reduction of pressure in brake main line corresponding to set full braking of units. Invention provides setting of optimum pressure value in brake cylinders of railway units at braking, automatic setting of preset optimum pressure value in brake cylinders of railway traction units at braking depending on type of braking at freight braking duty in air distributors of said railway units.
EFFECT: improved reliability of braking.
