FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for remote determination of the effect of electromagnetic radiation on radio receiving devices using probing radio-frequency pulses. Method is used to irradiate operably operable radio receiving device with probing radio-frequency pulses, irradiating with at least one probing radio-frequency pulse before exposure to electromagnetic radiation and at least one probing radio-frequency pulse after exposure to electromagnetic radiation, receiving the reflected probing signals and measuring their amplitudes, wherein the time and energy parameters of the probing radio frequency pulses before and after exposure to electromagnetic radiation are set to be completely identical, and wavelengths of probing radio-frequency pulses are selected in the radio receiving device working frequencies range, amplitudes of reflected probing radio-frequency pulses are compared, and results of comparison conclude the result of damaging action of electromagnetic radiation.
EFFECT: possibility of remote determination of operability of a radio receiving device after irradiation thereof with damaging electromagnetic radiation.
