FIELD: pyrotechnics.
SUBSTANCE: pyrotechnical retarding composition contains powder of silicon Si as fuel, lead dioxide PbO2 or lead oxide beads Pb3O4 as oxidising agent. Ingredients in the composition are taken in the following ratio, wt%: silicon Si 45-60 and lead dioxide PbO2 40-55 or silicon Si 30-50 and lead reddish Pb3O4 50-70, at that specific surface of fuel is (0.6-1.8) m2/g, specific surface area of powder of lead dioxide PbO2 - (0.2-1.0) m2/g and specific surface of powder of lead minnow Pb3O4 - (0.2-0.6) m2/g.
EFFECT: obtaining a predetermined burning time of a pyrotechnic retarding composition in retarders for different types of devices and high stability of burning rate when changing batches of initial components.
