FIELD: pyrotechnics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of pyrotechnics and can be used in retarders of means of initiation. The pyrotechnic retarding composition according to the first embodiment contains a mixture of tungsten, silicon and ferrosilicochromium powders as fuel, red lead Pb3O4 and titanium dioxide TiO2 as an oxidizing agent, and a copolymer of polytrifluorochlorethylene with vinylidene fluoride as a binder. The composition according to the second version contains a mixture of powders of tungsten and hard alloy of tungsten carbide and cobalt as a fuel, red lead Pb3O4 and barium chromate BaCrO4 as an oxidizing agent, and a copolymer of polytrifluorochlorethylene with vinylidene fluoride as a binder.

EFFECT: invention provides possibility of uniform combustion of particles of metallic fuel - tungsten - simultaneously in the entire combustion zone and creating a high thermal effect.
