FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of sports drinks. Four versions of application of nutritive additives for use as sports drinks are offered. In the first version, the solid nutritional supplement contains from 0.2 to 16 wt % of alginate, from 0.12 to 12 wt % of pectin and from 75 to 99 wt % of active ingredients. Active ingredients are selected from one or more ingredients including sugars, complex carbohydrates, mineral salts and amino acids. Additive is dissolved in water for use as a sports drink. In the second version, the liquid nutritional supplement contains 0.05 to 2.0 wt % of alginate, 0.03 to 1.5 wt % of pectin and 5 to 25 wt % of active ingredients, the rest—water. According to the invention, the declared nutritional supplements under the influence of a low pH of the gastric juice form hydrogels in the consumer's stomach.
EFFECT: invention provides delayed release of sugars and other active ingredients in the stomach of the consumer without causing undesirable gastrointestinal symptoms.
