FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engine building, namely, to system of onboard diagnostics of limiting state of internal combustion engine parts for the purpose of timely maintenance or repair. Method of determining maximum allowable deflection of connecting rod insert of internal combustion engine consists in determination of moment of operation of piezoelectric sensor (1) when maximum allowable deflection of insert is achieved. Current pulses generated by piezoelectric sensor (1), at the moment of the maximum permissible deflection of the connecting rod insert, are converted in oscillating circuit (2) installed on the connecting rod into electromagnetic oscillations, which are remotely transmitted to second oscillating circuit (3) installed inside crankcase (6) of the engine cylinder block, the induction currents of which are transmitted to power amplifier (4) installed outside crankcase (6) of the cylinder block, and from power amplifier (4) to signal device (5) in a car cabin. Also disclosed is a device for determining the maximum permissible deflection of the connecting rod insert of an internal combustion engine.
EFFECT: determination of maximum allowable deflection of connecting rod insert for timely prevention of destruction of connecting rod-crank mechanism with insert cranking.
