SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopaedics, and can be used to select a surgical approach in the operation of primary hip replacement in patients with posttraumatic cotyloid deformities. Patient is provided with computed tomography of the pelvic bones, from which the degree of cotyloid deformity is determined by displacement of the anterior, upper, posterior and inner walls, as well as evaluating integrity of pelvic ring on the side of involved cotyloid cavity - maintaining integrity of pelvic ring or disruption of pelvic ring integrity. That is followed by determining the surgical technique of primary endoprosthesis replacement.

EFFECT: method enables detailed preoperative planning and performing the operation of primary endoprosthesis replacement taking into account the degree of deformation and pelvic ring condition ensured by a combination of the claimed inventions.
