SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for selecting, in an underwater sensor communication network, on each transmission/retransmission of a packet, a set of nodes, to which said packet is to be sent and which provides, for each node, a module which controls a LLC transmission/retransmission policy and a routing module. Method comprises steps of: using a self-learning algorithm, which, for each packet, determines, independently and without explicit exchange of acknowledgment messages, considering number of times that this packet has already been sent, optimal set of nodes, to which this packet should be resent; and determining maximum number of repeated transmissions, which must be performed, selecting the best operating mode, in accordance with specific characteristics of the communication network.

EFFECT: technical result consists in possibility to optimize network performance.
