FIELD: chemical or physical processes.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a molding composition of polyesters, an article, a method of making an article and use of bicarbonate salt. Molding composition of polyesters contains: (A) from 15 to 98.94 wt % mixture of polyesters of two or more polyesters, (B) 0.05 to 5 wt % re-esterification accelerator, (C) from 1 to 60 wt % of reinforcing filler, (D) from 0.01 to 70 wt % of additive. Polyester is selected from a group consisting of polymethylene terephthalate, polyethylene terephthalate, polytrimethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate, a low-melting complex copolyester PET and polycyclohexene dimethyl terephthalate and combinations thereof. Re-esterification accelerator is selected from a group consisting of an alkali metal carbonate salt, an alkali metal bicarbonate salt and combinations thereof. Reinforcing filler is selected from group of glass fibers, polyamide fibers, cellulose fibers, ceramic fibers and their combination. Method of article manufacturing includes the following stages: (1) providing a mixture of two or more complex polyesters, a re-esterification accelerator and optionally reinforcing fiber and, optionally, additive and (2) mixing said mixture in the apparatus. Method is carried out at temperature from 150 to 350 °C.

EFFECT: technical result is the development of a method which facilitates re-esterification of mixtures of polyesters; obtained mixtures can then easily be subjected to molding to produce end products.
