FIELD: electrical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, namely, to longitudinal compensators and methods of its control. Longitudinal compensator comprises: serial transformer, shunt device of series transformer, a voltage source converter, a high-speed shunting converter device, a high-speed switch and a reactor. Reactor and high-speed switch are connected in parallel to form current limiting module; one winding of the serial transformer has two ends, in series connected to the line, and its other winding is connected in series with current limitation module and high-speed shunt device of converter; converter of voltage source and high-speed shunting device of converter are connected in parallel; and at least one winding of the serial transformer is connected in parallel to at least one shunt device of the serial transformer. According to the present invention, the longitudinal compensator indirectly provides a current limiting module in order to effectively limit the short circuit current of the system, reducing emergency current to which the compensator is exposed, and improving the reliability of the AC system and the longitudinal compensator. Besides, current limiting module has low level of voltage, and high-speed switch has weak disconnection current thus ensuring good industrial applicability.
EFFECT: technical result of proposed invention consists in optimization of distribution of power flow of system, reduction of short-circuit current in system, improvement of reliability of system.
