FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the electrical equipment. Disclosed is the method of longitudinal compensation suitable for double-circuit lines. Device comprises one serial transformer and one converter. One converter and two-circuit power transmission lines are respectively connected to three windings of one serial transformer. In the solution presented in this application, the device can be installed independently in the electric power transmission system for use as a static synchronous longitudinal compensator, and can also be used as a component of a single power flow controller, a transformable static compensator, an inter-linear power flow controller and a single power quality controller for serial connection to a power transmission system device.
EFFECT: technical result consists in possibility to save capacity of converter, to increase efficiency of longitudinal compensation device, to reduce costs and occupied area.
