FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of repair and maintenance of articles from polymer composite materials and can be used, in particular, in machine building, transport, construction, power engineering. Method consists in that in an article from polymer composite materials, a damaged area is found, boundaries of the damaged area are determined, the damaged area is cut out with formation of a through hole, the repair insert is made in the form of a ring which is installed in the received hole with the normalized tightness, by means of plug installed in a ring. Repair insert is made in the form of a split spacer ring consisting of at least 4 sections with an outer profiled surface covering the surface of the repaired article from the outer, inner and end sides along the boundary of the cut damaged area.

EFFECT: method provides higher strength and service life of structures from composite polymer and metal-polymer materials.
