FIELD: polymer production.

SUBSTANCE: production, repair and maintenance of products made of polymer composite materials (PCM), used in the fields of engineering, transport, construction, energy to increase the strength and service life of structures made of composite polymer and metal-polymer materials. The method includes identifying of the defect location, determining its boundaries, cutting out the damaged area to form a through hole, making a repair insert and installing it instead of the cut out damaged area of the product. Moreover, the repair insert is made in the form of a deformable sleeve with an internal thread, thinned relative to the cylindrical section with a cylindrical smooth part and longitudinal slots in the threaded section, a spacer sleeve with an external thread made with an undercut, with the possibility of obtaining a tight fit of the deformable sleeve in the hole of a polymer product made of composite materials and internal plug during installation. In this case, the spacer sleeve and the plug are installed using an adhesive composition, and the deformable sleeve is rolled out to tightly cover the inner edge of the hole with a rolling tool.

EFFECT: reliability and maintainability of PCM structures, reduction of operating costs for maintenance and repair of PCM parts and assemblies, improvement of the manufacturability of repairs in the factory, as well as non-stationary conditions.
