PSYCHOPHYSIOLOGICAL METHOD FOR ASSESSING OPERATOR'S PREPAREDNESS FOR EMERGENCY ACTIONS Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61B5/18

Abstract RU 2740244 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to a method of assessing the operator's preparedness level for emergency actions. During the method implementation, a light field with positions marked in circumferential direction and a luminous stimulus is presented. Stimulus successively jumps positions and makes jumps. Movement of the stimulus is accompanied by an acoustic signal, and during a jump - with a warning light signal. Response to occurrence of jumps is recorded. Light field comprises positions uniformly marked in circumferential direction. Luminous stimulus represents a green spot. Warning light signal is a yellow spot placed in the centre of the light field. Registration of operator's reaction to occurrence of jumps is performed during 60 minutes. At that uncontrolled jumps (UJ) and warning jumps (WJ) occur. When the operator reacts to the jumps for more than 4 s, the error is calculated. Stimulus is continued to move along the circle along the marked positions. Determining the arithmetic average reaction time T1 and the number of errors M1 for WJ, as well as the reaction time T2 and the number of errors M2 for the UJ. Operator's readiness for emergency actions is evaluated when conditions are met, according to which (T1-T2) is less than or equal to 0.25 s, the number of errors M1 is zero, the number of errors M2 is less than or equal to 3, the average reaction time on the UJ is less than or equal to 1 s, number of responses to WJ, UJ with reaction time of more than 1 s is less than or equal to 3.

EFFECT: higher reliability of assessing the level of operator's readiness for emergency actions in a state of monotony and fatigue.
