FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a triboelectric fiber quality sensor for sensing a potential value on a fiber surface and a hair styling device. Sensor comprises first plane pair of adjacent electrodes and second plane pair of adjacent electrodes. Electrodes of the first pair are made with possibility of contacting the fiber for generation of the first voltage on the electrodes, which indicates potential value on the fiber surface. First pair of electrodes includes the first conducting electrode and the first dielectric electrode. Dielectric electrode has first dielectric material with conducting sublayer. Electrodes of the second pair are made with possibility of contacting the fiber for generation of the second voltage on the electrodes indicating the fiber quality. First and second plane pairs of electrodes are inclined, beveled and/or zigzag-shaped, or flat pairs of electrodes are arranged with a repeated interdigital configuration, such as interdigital lattice structure. Hair styling device contains a triboelectric fiber quality sensor for perception of the potential value on the fiber surface.
EFFECT: fiber quality sensor is provided to sense the potential on the surface of the fiber and the hair styling device.
