SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of energy generation and / or conversion. Electric power generator is controlled so as to periodically alternate contact mode, during which elements of generator are brought into contact to induce state of charging, and contactless mode, during which plates of generator are separated from each other, and electric energy is generated by means of electrostatic induction. Moments and duration of the contact and contactless modes are controlled by a controller or user commands depending on the state of charge of the generator elements. Thus, the elements are brought into contact only when the surface charge falls below a certain level, and recharging is required.

EFFECT: technical result is high in output power.
