FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to oncology, and can be used for selecting treatment of cerebral metastases in patients with triple-negative breast cancer and metastatic involvement of parenchymal organs. MRI examination is performed with cerebral contrast enhancement. Number of metastases is determined and their diameter is determined, and the Karnovsky index is established. Taking into account the obtained data, a mode and schemes of the radiation therapy are selected. Period between the detected metastatic involvement of the parenchymal organs and the detection of metastases in the brain are additionally determined. If this period is less than 24 months, total cerebral irradiation is prescribed for any value of metastases, diameter and Karnovsky index. If the period is equal to or more than 24 months, wherein the diameter of the greatest metastasis in the brain is less than or equal to 3 cm, total cerebral irradiation is prescribed with elimination of the hippocampal zones on both sides from the target area. If this period is equal to or more than 24 months, wherein the diameter of the greater metastasis is more than 3 cm, prescribing total cerebral irradiation with exclusion from the target area of the hippocampal area on both sides, followed by stereotactic radiation therapy in 3–4 weeks on metastatic centers, whose diameter at the beginning of total irradiation exceeded 3 cm.

EFFECT: method provides selecting the treatment of cerebral metastases in patients with triple-negative breast cancer and metastatic involvement of parenchymal organs by determining the treatment selection criteria.
