FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to oncology. Brain is entirely exposed to a single basic radiation dose of 2.4 Gy for three weeks, five days a week, followed by a boost of a single basic dose of 0.6 Gy in 5 h. Wherein the total isoeffective dose after 15 fractions for the whole brain is 40 Gy, and on the tumor bed is 60 Gy. On the 2, 5, 7, 10, 12, and 15 day after the local irradiation, xenon-oxygen inhalations are prescribed. Medical oxygen is supplied through a breathing mask for 5 minutes, semiopen circuit, gas flow is 4-6 l/min. Then the circut is changed into the closed mode. Xenon is fed into the system at the flow rate of 0.8 l/min, wherein the content of xenon concentration in the inhaled mixture makes 20-25 %, procedure length is 15-20 minutes.
EFFECT: method allows to improve tolerance of adjuvant radiation therapy and improve the life quality of patients.
