FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, in particular to plant growing. Method involves using illumination in the field of blue and red light. Seeds is preliminarily treated with aqueous sol of 0.005 % of hydrothermal nanosilica for 120 minutes followed by sowing and sprouting under standard conditions at room temperature and moistening seeds for 6 days, and constant monochromatic illumination with light-emitting diodes of blue, or green, or red light with wavelength of 440 nm, 525 nm and 660 nm and low intensity of the photon beam of 6.52 mcmol/m2⋅s, 1.44 mcmol/m2⋅s and 2.36 mcmol/m2⋅s, respectively, at the level of the substrate with seeds.
EFFECT: method widens the possibility of using LED lighting in combination with treatment before germination of seeds with silica nanoparticles of hydrothermal origin to improve the lettuce seeds germination capacity, sprouts productivity in 6-day sprouting phase and to improve their quality.
