SUBSTANCE: invention relates to screen device for identification of fingerprints and electronic device. Screen fingerprint identification device includes a display panel and a fingerprint identification module. Display panel includes an illumination module, a liquid crystal layer and a protective glass which are serially stacked on each other. Protective glass includes an area for identification of fingerprints. Fingerprint identification module includes a light source, a photosensor and light guide layers placed on the protective glass. Light-guiding layers at least cover sections of opposite sides of protective glass, respectively, so that light emitted by light source, after reflection in protective glass, is directed into area of identification of fingerprints. Photo sensor is arranged in display panel and corresponds to the fingerprint identification area for receiving the optical signal of the light source emitted by the light source after reflection from the finger in the fingerprint identification area.
EFFECT: technical result is wider range of optical identification of fingerprints in LCD screen.
