METHOD FOR CREATING EXPERIMENTAL MODEL OF INFLAMED COLON IN PERITONITIS CONDITIONS Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61B17/00 G09B23/28

Abstract RU 2740942 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to experimental surgery, and can be used to create an experimental model of inflamed colon in peritonitis conditions in laboratory animals - rats. Intra-abdominal introduction of 10 % of the faecal suspension is performed at rate of 1 ml per kg of body weight of the animal. On the third day after the introduction of the faecal suspension, the median laparotomy is performed with insertion of the blind intestine into the wound, visualizing one of the branches of ileocolic artery with its subsequent crossing and bleeding. Haemorrhagic haemostasis is stopped by tying an iliac artery branch in the presence of central circulation signs and hypovolemia manifested in blanching of the oral mucosa, tongue, nose, disappearance of vascular pattern of ear and positive symptom of white spot on ear, layer-by-layer closure of wound with formation of model of inflamed colon on third day after laparotomy.

EFFECT: method enables developing an experimental model of inflamed colon in rats in conditions of peritonitis with characteristic inflammatory changes and disturbed microcirculation in its wall by creating conditions, close to clinical realities, which enables conducting experimental studies of colonic anastomosis in peritonitis conditions close to clinical practice.
