FIELD: treatment of water, industrial and household waste water.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods and means of monitoring the environment and can be used for monitoring and cleaning contaminants of waste water and surface water of natural water bodies. Method includes measurement of optical density in the main channel of movement of the controlled medium and taps from the main channel, which are equipped with elements for blocking movement of the monitored medium and additional filters intended for filtration of corresponding contaminants contained in waste water, comparison of current values of optical density of water medium in each of taps with stored known values of optical density of components of medium, which can be present in waste water, and control of corresponding elements of blocking movement of controlled medium by signals obtained from comparison results. Method further includes measuring n values of optical density of the monitored medium at different wavelengths of optical radiation, presentation of measured values in form of a grid function, generation on the basis of obtained grid function of current matrix of ratio, comparison of current matrix of relation with matrices of ratios, previously obtained with help of standard preparation unit and stored in unit of standards, and based on the comparison results, generation of control signals for motion blocking elements of the monitored medium.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of quality of waste water treatment due to prompt selection of the corresponding purification filter, which reduces the probability of missing previously known contaminants, which can appear in waste water, for example, as a result of accident at industrial plant.
