SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport, namely to fastening devices of piggy-back platforms, and can be used for fastening of truck semi-trailers of various standard sizes. Seat device of piggyback platform includes base (1), double-sided scissor lift and seat (10) with track switch (11) and seat (12) for fixation of pivot of semi-trailer. Seat (12) is made in form of closed hole with retainer. Track switch (11) is configured to be actuated when seat (10) is in contact with the pivot of the semitrailer and its position is controlled relative to the seat. Scissor lift is equipped with two carriages (2, 3) pivotally connected with levers (8, 9) moving along guide bases by parallel running screws (4, 5) of independent electromechanical drives (6, 7). Method of semitrailer fixation on piggyback platform by means of saddle device consists in arrangement of device under pier of semitrailer, movement of at least one of carriages (2 or 3) towards the other and lifting of seat (10) until actuation of track switch (11). Carriages (2, 3) are synchronously moved until track switch (11) is disengaged and kingpin is located above seat. Thereafter, at least one of the carriages is moved again towards the other to lift the seat until the kingpin is fixed in the seat.

EFFECT: invention improves reliability of fixation of semitrailer pin.
