SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to a method of getting rid of neurotic, psychic disorders, neuroses, phobias, panic attacks, psychotraumas, as well as alcohol, nicotine, game and any other types of dependencies and addictive behaviour. Preliminary consultation involves detecting a number of frames associated with a problem in the patient. Afterwards video material is mounted. That is followed by demonstration of a video material in a patient's session, in which previously selected frames are mounted with frequency of 20−40 seconds, which are associated with a problem in the patient. Playback time of each frame ranges from 0.02 seconds to 0.20 seconds. At the same time, the patient is exposed to light flashes mounted in the video material with an arbitrary frequency which irritates the patient, and an audio track with irritant sound, the tonality and volume of which are changed in the sound frequency range. Duration of video material is 4 to 10 minutes. Patient watches the movable white point on the dark background during video material while viewing the video material throughout the video material. After the video material is completed, the video stream is switched to an image from an external video camera, on which the patient sees himself from the side. Patient is presented with an audio material with soothing music. In addition, exposure to other sensory organs is performed, depending on the patient's problem exposure to smell, tactile effect or taste.

EFFECT: method enables destroying or isolating a pathological dominant focus by creating a negative association with the patient's problem.
