METHOD FOR MODELING AN EXPLOSIVE INJURY OF SOFT TISSUES OF AN EXTREMITY Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC G09B23/28

Abstract RU 2741238 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to experimental medicine, particularly to military surgery and traumatology, and can be used to simulate limb soft tissue injuries arising from mine explosion and cumulative charges using rats. Method comprises applying on pre-cut surface of hip of anesthesia minor laboratory animal injury by organizing explosion using as explosive charge pyrotechnic product of household purpose - tetroke petard Korsar-2. This article is placed in the thigh of rat in 2.8-3.0 cm-long canal formed in a region of the semitendinous, semimembranous and biceps muscle parallel to the long femur. A petard is placed no closer than 1.0-1.3 cm from the femoral bone and so that its part from the fuse point protrudes by 2 cm above the skin surface, and remaining part was located in formed channel and partially, namely by 0.3-1.0 cm, protruded from counter-aperture on opposite surface of thigh.

EFFECT: method provides the possibility of applying on the lateral surface of the thigh of the isolated blast injures of the soft tissues reliably reflecting the complex effect on the animal organism of all the most significant explosion factors, highly reproducible, id est identical in nature and degree of severity, localization, shape, area and depth in all experimental animals of experimental group due to set of methods of claimed invention.
