FIELD: radar ranging.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine the speed of nonmaneuvering objects mainly in radar stations with coarse measurements of angular coordinates. For this purpose, in the digital non-recursive filter (DNRF) the first increment of the range product on the radial velocity is evaluated, dividing this estimate for the radar observation period T0, square root is calculated from obtained result and estimate of track velocity ν^ is obtained. In each view threshold range is calculated rth i = 0.58T0√N(N2−1) (ν^(ν^−|r´i|))/σr´, where N—number of measurements of coordinates, σr'—mean square error (MSE) measurement of the radial velocity at which the difference between the estimate and the measured ν^ module radial velocity |r´i| is equal to MSE for estimation of track speed σν^. If measured range ri exceeds threshold, give customers radial velocity value |r´i| instead of estimating the track velocity ν^ determined with a larger error. Track speed meter comprises range multiplier to radial velocity, DNRF, divider for period of view, calculators of square root and threshold range, threshold device and switch with appropriate connections.
EFFECT: high accuracy of determining track speed.
