SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and an apparatus for transmitting information. Method includes: receiving by a terminal device of a first synchronization signal sent by a network device, wherein the first synchronization signal unit comprises a first physical broadcast channel (PBCH), and information carried over the first PBCH includes first information and second information; wherein the first information is used to indicate whether the remaining minimum system information (RMSI) is present, if the first information indicates that the RMSI is absent, the second information is used to indicate the resource information of the second synchronization signal unit.
EFFECT: technical result is to reduce the complexity of detecting synchronization signal blocks of a terminal device.
