METHOD OF FORMING CENTRAL VISUAL FIXATION AND INCREASING RETINAL PHOTOSENSITIVITY IN CHILDREN WITH AMBLYOPIA WITH UNSTABLE CENTRAL FIXATION AND NONCENTRAL FIXATION Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61F9/00 A61B3/24

Abstract RU 2741696 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology and is intended for formation of central visual fixation and increase of retinal photosensitivity in children with amblyopia with unstable central fixation and noncentral fixation. First, in the central area of the macular region, selecting a trained locus of size 2° with unstable central fixation, 5° - with noncentral fixation. Stimulated by light pattern of size 4° at unstable central and 8° with noncentral fixation with maximum brightness and flicker frequency of 20 Hz. Patient's sound motivation to fix the gaze within the chosen locus within 10-12 minutes, 3 times a week, in total 12-18 sessions. After each three sessions, visual fixation and sensitivity of the retina are evaluated. If these parameters are improved by 10%, the size of the trained locus is reduced by 0.5° at unstable central and by 1.0° with noncentral fixation, and size of pattern and its parts - by 2 times. Flicker frequency is gradually increased to 25 Hz. Treatment is repeated every 3 months with a positive effect.

EFFECT: method provides centralization and stabilization of visual fixation, increases light sensitivity of the macular area, as a result, increases visual acuity.
