METHOD FOR CENTRAL VISUAL FIXATION IN CHILDREN AND ADULTS WITH AMBLYOPIA WITH NONCENTRAL FIXATION Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61F9/00 A61B3/24

Abstract RU 2702158 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. To create central visual fixation in children and adults with amblyopia with noncentral fixation, local exposure of macular area of retina is performed. Before the treatment, the fixation point deviation from the center of the macular area is determined using a device called the Fundus-micro perimeter "MP-1", expressed in degrees. If the fixation point deviates more than 6 degrees with the MBS-02 Monobinoscope apparatus, a session is carried out, involving a local exposure of the macular area using a quartz halogen small-sized incandescent lamp with voltage of 12 V and power of 50 W for 30 seconds, three times with 10-second interval, wherein the patient's gaze is fixed on the fixation needle so that the shadow from the central prism of the illuminator is projected onto the macular area. If the fixation point deviates by 6 degrees and less, a session is carried out involving exposures with the help of the Fundus-micro perimeter "MP-1" device in a training mode using 0.43-degree stimulus, duration of exposure is 200 ms, maximum brightness, duration of light time up to 10 minutes a day, stopping at the moment of time, when observed deterioration of visual fixation, with 15 sessions of light, one session a day.

EFFECT: method provides visual acuity ensured by centralisation and stabilization of visual fixation.
