METHOD OF DETERMINING INDICATIONS FOR A REPEATED COURSE OF FORMATION OF CENTRAL VISUAL FIXATION AND INCREASE IN RETINAL PHOTOSENSITIVITY IN CHILDREN WITH AMBLYOPIA WITH UNSTABLE CENTRAL FIXATION AND NON-CENTRAL FIXATION Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B8/10 A61B3/24

Abstract RU 2803168 C1

FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine indications for a repeated course of formation of central visual fixation and increase in retinal photosensitivity in children with amblyopia with unstable central fixation and non-central fixation. A child with unstable central fixation and non-central fixation is treated with the aim of correcting fixation using biofeedback therapy. One month after the first course of treatment, fixation stability is assessed using microperimetry by measuring the area of the ellipse, which covers 99% of the fixation positions (Ellipse 99%), fixation density in the ring 2° and the magnitude of the deviation of the formed preferred fixation locus with non-central fixation. A second course of treatment is carried out if the Ellipse 99% parameter has increased by more than 15%, the fixation density parameter in the ring 2° decreased by more than 10%, with a deviation of the formed preferred fixation locus of more than 2° with non-central fixation.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to form clear criteria for prescribing repeated courses of biofeedback therapy for amblyopia of various origins, which, in turn, provides a stable clinical effect in the formation of central visual fixation and an increase in retinal photosensitivity in this category of patients.
