FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of remote concealed detection of hazardous objects under clothing of people hidden behind barriers, opaque in visible and infrared radiation ranges and transparent/semitransparent in ultrahigh frequency (UHF) radiation range. Device for remote detection of hidden dangerous objects includes a single UHF receiving/transmitting module with linear-frequency modulation (LFM) of radiation with an extended modulation range associated with a signal control and processing unit, a television camera and a monitor. Radiation beam shaper used is a reflecting antenna. Device is equipped with an infrared light-emitting diode (LED) with a wavelength coinciding with the range of sensitivity of the TV camera. UHF beam former and the IR LED are installed relative to the television camera so as to illuminate the area in the centre of the video image. Monitor is a separate device connected to the rest of the device via a wire or via a radio channel. Device can be made in portable/stationary version. Device can be controlled by wire or radio channel.
EFFECT: technical result is higher accuracy of identifying hazardous objects, providing every-operation operation mode, reduced weight and size and energy parameters.
