METHOD FOR ASSESSING SEVERITY OF INFANTILE CEREBRAL PARALYSIS (ICP) AND PSYCHO-SPEECH DELAY (PSD) Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A61B5/476 A61B5/484 A61B5/488 A61B5/145 A61B5/05

Abstract RU 2561290 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: clinical signs of the disease are identified at neurological examination; computed electroencephalogram is recorded; positron tomography is conducted; short-latency visual, auditory, cognitive, somatosensory (SSEP) evoked potentials are recorded, and neuromyography is performed. That is combined with virologic blood examination, including a blood serological test to detect viruses tropic to nerve cells: antibodies Jg G and Jg M, cytomegalovirus, types 1-2-6 herpes simplex, Epstein-Barr virus, varicella zoster virus, toxoplasma and mycoplasma. The blood immunoassay is performed to determine cell and antibody-mediated immunity, including the immunity to brain-specific proteins: neuron-specific enolase (NSE), S-100 protein; anti-duplex (native) DNA and anti-total myelin protein antibodies Jg G; 25-hydroxyvitamin D (vitamin D(25-0H). The measured values are compared to reference normal values, and the disease is considered to be more severe if any irregularities are observed.

EFFECT: method enables providing more reliable diagnosis that is ensured by additional virologic and immunologic blood examinations.
