FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is intended for treating dry eyes caused by wearing flexible contact lenses. Therapeutic agent for dry eye, characterized by application on eyes of a patient with dry eye, wearing flexible contact lenses, contains diquafosol or salt thereof as an active ingredient and does not contain benzalkonium chloride. Concentration of diquafosol or its salt makes 3 % (w/v). In other embodiments ophthalmic solutions are provided for improving the lachrymal film stability and for treating dry eyes or discomfort in the eyes, caused by wearing flexible contact lenses. Said solutions are characterized by application on eyes of wearing flexible contact lenses and contain diquafosol or salt thereof as an active ingredient and do not contain benzalkonium chloride.
EFFECT: using the group of inventions enables prolonging tear film rupture time, which provides its stabilization and accordingly promotes dry eyes treatment caused by wearing flexible contact lenses.
