FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, particularly to otorhinolaryngology. Surgical intervention is performed in the area of the tongue, palatal arches and soft palate mucosa. Surgical intervention is performed using a monopolar electrocoagulator in a coagulation regimen of 20–25 Wt. Tongue is excised on border of middle and upper one-third. Edges of anterior palatal arms are coagulated to a base, wherein the width of the cauterisation area is 3–5 mm by 5–7 mm from the base of the tongue. Thereafter, a soft palate is coagulated by inserting the end of the electric coagulation nozzle to a tissue depth of 2–4 mm, with diameter of 2 mm, away from a hard palate transition into soft 5 mm. First coagulate is applied along the middle soft palate line. Second and third coagulates are applied to the right and to the left of the middle line, at the points located at the middle of the distance between the middle line and the imaginary line parallel to it, passing through the base of the anterior palatal arch.

EFFECT: method provides higher effectiveness of treatment of rhonchopathy due to controlled destruction of soft palate and ligature in strictly defined places and to required depth, predicted uniform scarring leading to solution of the problem of snoring without cosmetic defect and soft palate function disorder.
