SUBSTANCE: tyre comprises a tread band (2), formed whereon are: a first and a second shoulder areas (4, 5), opposite to each other in the axial direction, and a central area (6); multiple pairs of first units (7) and second units (8) located in the central area; multiple first pairs of main grooves (10, 20) partially defining the boundaries of the first and second units (7, 8) and formed by the first and second main grooves (10, 20) extending from the first and second shoulder areas (4, 5), respectively, in the direction towards the central area (6); multiple second pairs of main grooves (30, 40) alternating with the first pairs of main grooves (10, 20) and formed by the third and fourth main grooves (30, 40) passing from the first and second shoulder areas (4, 5), respectively, in the direction towards the central area (6) without crossing any other main grooves.
EFFECT: improvement in the operating characteristics of the tyre during acceleration on dry, wet, and snow-covered road surfaces.
