FIELD: shooting.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to small arms ammunition and is aimed at firing at lightly armored targets as well as at manpower equipped with personal body armor. An armor-piercing bullet contains a shell with a core placed in it. It is made with a truncated cone, pointed at the front. The core has four stiffening ribs from the nose to the base of the truncated cone. These ribs have an inclined profile and are made with the possibility of cutting the armor to form petals. The conical part is made with the possibility of wrapping the formed armor petals inward with the expansion of the formed hole due to the possibility of adding the explosion energy with the kinetic energy of the bullet. An explosive substance is poured behind the core so that it can be driven by a primer sleeve with an initiating charge fixed in the partition. A glass is fixed behind the partition with a nut. A striker is installed inside the glass with possibility of free movement, abutting against the safety spring.
EFFECT: invention increases speed of the bullet and its penetrating ability.
