FIELD: weapons.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of firearms, in particular to the production of projectiles (bullets) intended for destruction of light armoured targets. Technical result is achieved by the fact that a double-shell armour-piercing bullet for a rifled and smooth-bore firearm comprises an outer shell having a thickness greater than the depth of rifles of the barrel bores, and a core consisting of an inner armour piercing shell which completely or partially filled with a substance having a specific density greater than 5 g/cm3 or pyrotechnic composition, and a bullet body has a cylindrical shape with a pyramidal head.
EFFECT: technical result is creation of double-shell armour-piercing bullet, which can be made in armour-piercing, armour-piercing-incendiary and armour-piercing-incendiary-tracing versions, which exceeds all previous bullets as per tactical and technical characteristics.
