FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protected means for starting a machine type communication (MTC) device. After receiving the trigger message from the MTC server, the network verifies whether the MTC server is authorized to launch the target MTC device, and whether the MTC device is authorized to respond to the trigger message by comparing the MTC device ID and the MTC server ID which are included in the trigger message with the authorized ID. Upon successful authentication, the network checks the trigger type included in the flip-flop message to make sure whether the trigger message is authorized for sending to the MTC device. Upon successful verification, the network sends a trigger message to the MTC device. Network also checks the validity of the response from the MTC device by checking whether the MTC device is allowed to communicate with the addressed MTC server.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of reliability of MTC device start-up, reduction of traffic in network, due to aggregation of starts.
