SUBSTANCE: proposed is balancing cylinder (10) mounted on device (100) for transportation of treated part, having source (16) of fluid medium under pressure, so that axial direction of balancing cylinder (10) passes vertically. In position nearby end of stroke when lowering cylinder liner (22) when rod cover (20) is brought into contact with movable valve (30) and the positioning position of positioning latch (38) moves from the first locking groove (28c) to the second locking groove (28d), second channel (28b) connecting source (16) of supply of fluid medium under pressure and first chamber (36a) of the cylinder to each other is closed.

EFFECT: technical result is ability of cylinder to reliably stop in position near end of section of stroke at lowering of cylinder liner and ability to lock in position of stop.
