FIELD: agriculture; crop production.
SUBSTANCE: can be used to increase the germination of sugar beet seeds, in breeding using agrobiotechnological systems with artificial lighting to obtain new plant biotypes, in production technologies to obtain germinated seeds and microgreens. After sowing, seeds are germinated at room temperature and moistened using monochromatic continuous illumination with LEDs of blue light with a wavelength of 440 nm or green light with a wavelength of 525 nm as a light source with the generation of low-intensity photons in the range of 6.52 - 1.44 mcmol / m2 • s at the level of the seedbed.
EFFECT: method allows expanding possibilities of using LED lighting in the version of monochromatic spectra of blue and green light for increasing the germination of sugar beet seeds, sprout productivity during germination for obtaining germinated seeds and microgreens and using in breeding to obtain new plant biotypes.
