SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, specifically to a device and a method for contactless monitoring of heart rate (HR). Device comprises a contactless matrix of sensors for placement in a position located at a distance from the patient, but near it, and a signal processing circuit connected to a sensor array. At that, time-varying signals are generated using matrix of sensors. Said signals are evaluated. One or more signals from a plurality of time-varying signals are selected based on the evaluation for use in determining a patient's heart rate. Heart rate is determined based on the selected signal. Selected control process is started from a variety of potential newborn resuscitation protocol management processes for the guidance of the caregiver. Indicators are displayed based on the set heart rate and the selected control process.
EFFECT: non-contact heart rate monitoring is provided in emergency applications, for example, delivery in which the newborn resuscitation protocols are performed.
