FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering for encoding and decoding an information signal. Technical result is achieved by performing first estimation for current frame; performing second estimation for current frame; and selection between first estimate obtained during first evaluation and second estimate obtained during second estimation, based on correlation measurements, wherein the second estimation is performed based on the result of the selection step performed in the previous frame.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of accuracy of estimates of delay of fundamental tone, which better approach to complex signals, with same or less complexity, than in known level of equipment.
