FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing structural material, which can be widely used in construction, in instrumentation, in particular, to produce housings, housings, racks, cells of measuring instruments, as well as for production of armored plates. Proposed method consists in melt of thermoplastic polymer in the form of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene with molecular weight of 1–9 million g/mol and sand mixing. Further, the hot mixture is treated by pressing. Then mixture is cooled down to hardening. To obtain structural material components are taken in the following ratio, wt %: 50–95 of sand, 5–50 of said ultrahigh molecular polyethylene.
EFFECT: invention increases strength of structural material.
