FIELD: polymer chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a biocompatible polymer system capable of adsorbing protein toxins, inflammatory mediators and positively charged ions, to a perfusion method, as well as to a device for removing protein toxins, inflammatory mediators and positively charged ions from a physiological fluid. Biocompatible polymer system comprises at least one polymer having the form of a super-cross-linked or macroreticular porous polymer, sulphonated in mild conditions, at which residual functionality of unreacted double bonds and chloromethyl groups is preserved, and a biocompatible coating. Perfusion method involves passing a physiological fluid directly or by means of a suitable extracorporeal circuit through a device, containing biocompatible polymer system. Device comprises a packed layer of granules containing a biocompatible polymer system in a flow container.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides creation of biocompatible sorbent material for effective removal of protein toxins, inflammatory mediators and positively charged ions from physiological liquids simultaneously without detriment to their binding capacity.
