FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a porous resin and a method of its production. The proposed resin is intended for use in solid-phase synthesis of oligonucleotides and belongs to the field of production of functional polymeric materials. A porous resin for solid phase synthesis, wherein the porous resin has a polymer skeleton with functional groups represented by the following formula:

where R1 = -C-, R3 = -H-, и R2 = -CH2-NH2, -CH2-OH, -NH2, -OH or -COO-C6H4-OH; or R1 = -C-, R3 = CH2-CH3, и R2 = -(CH2)4-COO-C6H4-OH; or R1 = -C-CH2-, R3 = -CH3, и R2 = -CH2-NH2. The production of porous resin includes the following steps: in the first stage, aqueous and oil phases are obtained. The aqueous phase contains: water, dispersant and inorganic salt. The oil phase contains: monovinyl compound, cross-linking monomer, functional monomer, modified monomer, oil-soluble surfactant, diluent and initiator. In the second stage, the oil phase is added to the water phase, mixed and heated to carry out the reaction, and upon completion of the reaction, the pore-forming agents are removed. The resulting polymer resin is capable of being further reacted to obtain a porous resin containing a hydroxyl group and an amino group as functional groups. The porous resin contains hydroxyl groups or amino groups in an amount of 100–1,000 mcmol/g. The particle size of the porous resin is 35–200 mcm, and the average pore diameter is 10–200 nm.
